Eastern Shore of Virginia Coastal Zone Management Program
Eastern Shore of Virginia Coastal Program
The A-NPDC, with support from DEQ's Coastal Zone Management Program and NOAA, manages the Eastern Shore of Virginia coastal program. The Eastern Shore of Virginia Ground Water Committee is partially funded through this program, as is the Chincoteague Native American Heritage Festival. For more information, the annual reports are presented.
Ecotourism Improvements
DEQ, with support from NOAA, has provided funding to A-NPDC to construct several ecotourism improvements to the Eastern Shore of Virginia Seaside Water Trail. These included four floating docks, an observation deck at Willis Wharf and educational signs at four locations.
